HISTORY OF RENEW
Renew Family Services opened August 2016. It was opened since Hope Stein, LSW, CADC had been conducting business under Hope’s Therapeutic Services for out-of-pocket individual therapy. She had been offering free drug and alcohol assessments. Many of her clients complained how there were no IOP’s that were not affiliated with any treatment facilities. Hope Stein began to research areas where public transportation was available and within a year she created Renew Family Services.
Renew Family Services offer gender specific groups as well as co-ed. Recovery coaching is also provided to allow clients to learn to engage in their communities while working on issues in therapy. We believe that addiction needs to be addressed within the family system. The family is included in therapy. We highly recommend the family join a group separately in order to address their feelings and help them differentiate supportive versus enabling.
We provide mental health services including individuals, groups and family sessions. RFS offers couples counseling, LGBT, adolescents and individual sessions to encompass the community’s needs. Trying to embrace the community we provide supports such as interventions, drug and alcohol assessments, and referrals to sober living. We accept most commercial insurances including Aetna, Cigna, Highmark, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Medicare, Value Options, Humana, Anthem, Personal Choice, United Health Care, United Behavioral Health, Optum, Independent Administrators, Keystone Health Plan East, HMO’s, PPO’s etc..
RFS offers medicated-assisted treatment. We carefully assess clients before they are scheduled for the doctor. Clients have to fall into a special category to even be a candidate for Suboxone. Most clients are started on Naltrexone or Vivitrol as a first option. Many of our clients also get the opportunity to meet with our psychiatrist who provides psychotherapy with medication management. Renew Family Services believes the more eyes that we have on our clients the better we can assess them from every aspect of life and provide them the full spectrum of services.
